Schedule a video meeting

  1. Go to Google Calendar and create an event.
  2. On the Guests tab, click Add guests and enter the email addresses.
  3. (Optional) You can also copy an existing conference from one event to another by clicking View details > Edit create. Paste or type an existing Hangouts Meet URL, and then click Done.
    Note: You can only paste a Meet link (not a classic Hangouts link) from another Calendar event.
  4. Click SAVE.
  5. Click Send to send the invites.

Guests receive an email with the event information and a link to the video call.


Join a video meeting


From Calendar

  1. In Calendar, click the event you want to join and click Join Hangouts Meet.
  2. In the Hangouts Meet window, click Join.

From Calendar:

  1. In Calendar, click the event you want to join.
  2. Click the Video call link.
  3. In the Hangouts window that opens, click Join.

From Gmail or Inbox:

  1. In Gmail or Inbox, open the email with the meeting invitation.
  2. Click the Video call link (Gmail) or the Join video call link (Inbox).
  3. In the Hangouts window that opens, click Join.
